Ever wondered how you can use your time in a more productive way? Or are you someone that likes to learn new things? Than you and me have something in common. It’s interesting how some people have a desire to keep on learning new skills or different topics.

We all have different areas where we want to grow in and different things we are interested to. That’s why maybe you would only like to learn about 1 skill below and someone else would like to learn them all. Today I’ll talk about skills I find interesting to learn and why.

Different skills to learn

Learning. For some people learning can already be a new skill. If you had any trouble learning in middle school or high school, you can sharpen up your learning skills.

Speed reading. Learning how to read faster is so much more convenient for you and the time you have. Wouldn’t it be more interesting to learn everything from a book in lesser time? This is possible just by learning how to read faster.

Remove bad habits. By replacing bad or useless habits with good and healthy habits you will have more energy and motivation for learning new skills. In the beginning, while changing your habits, it can be hard and be feeling weird but you shouldn’t be afraid of changing your way of living. Learn all about different habits over here.

Learn a new language. Speaking a new language can only be positive in your favor. It gives you the possibility of living in a different country, connecting to more different people and it’s an extra thing to add on your resume.

Photoshop. You can do a lot with photoshop even if you just know the basics of photoshopping. It can also come in handy if you are working in a rather creative surrounding. This is definitely something you can add on your resume. This is a skill you can combine with other like photography.

Flexibility. Nothing better than training your flexibility and relaxing at the same time. Working on your own flexibility can become part of your morning routine and can become very relaxing.

Speaking. A lot of people have a problem with speaking in group, public or for an audience. Speaking before an audience is something we have to learn on doing. We can learn this by practicing in the mirror or for family and friends. Learning your speaking skills or improving your speaking skills will help you not only for your job but also for things in private.

Yoga. Taking a break from work? Try doing some yoga! It will increase your concentration, improve your body awareness and improve you posture. This will make it easier for your body to relax and to focus more on yourself than anything else.

Marketing. Marketing can become highly valuable to yourself when interested in things like investing, the stock market or even marketing on general. Knowing how marketing works can help you make your own busines or upgrade the way you are working.

Chess. Learning how to play chess is something I really liked learning. Chess can be played in many ways and people have all kinds of different strategies. This is why it is a difficult game to learn. You will have to learn how to adapt on different kinds of players while searching for your own strategy. It keeps you creative and keeps the brain thinking.

YouTube. Being able to try and do something on YouTube is also a skill you can try. Even if you just want to help people, want to make a little side hustle or you just find it fun to do. It’s also a chance to spread you message and even start a smaller busines. YouTube is a skill you can learn by doing.

Video editing. Video editing can have the same reasons for starting like photoshopping. If interested in any of the work/hobby sector this skill is definitely something to add on your resume. This is a skill that can be combined with others like YouTube.

Photography. Photography is something that will keep you creative. Trying on different angles or different usage of everyday products for another outcome. Looking up different techniques will get you started right away. Photography will in most situations also force you to come out of the house and keep you moving.

Professional mails. Not everyone can write a professional mail. This is also something you could learn yourself online and this will give a good  point to the person you are sending this. Learning this skill can be valuable for trying to come into business.

Playing an instrument. Not only will it boost up your confidence but it also relieves stress. You can also learn about yourself on how patient you are and how disciplined you are. Learning an instrument as a skill is something to test yourself.

Cooking. It’s fun to learn how to cook. You can even do this together with someone else or you might want to learn how to cook so you can cook for a loved one. It’s only in your benefit and this way you can cook healthy meals for yourself.

Mindful thinking. For some people it can be pretty hard to constantly stay in the present. Some people had difficult moments in their lives and are rethinking about those moments at times in the day and because of that they lose concentration. By practicing mindful thinking you will stay in the present and be able to focus more on important tasks given to you.

Saving money. Sometimes you see something brand new in the store or something with a big discount and you might think you have to buy it. Some people “need to buy’ to feel happy but can people actually afford these things? It’s important to save money and even if possible to invest.

Investing. Investing your money is another skill that could make you a good load of money. Of course investing has a lot of risks with it if you don’t watch out and if you don’t learn it properly. There are a lot of guides online and even dangers to watch out for.

How to learn these

Knowing your why. Knowing why you should start on learning something can play a big role in something like learning a skill. If it’s a necessary skill for surviving people tend to learn harder and smarter than when the skill is needed for luxury. Look for your own motive and you will get the motivation.

Be specific. Don’t make a big picture of what you want but be specific of the things you want to do. Don’t say I want to exercise more or I want to wake up earlier but say to yourself what kind of sports you wane do or at what time exact you want to wake up.

Be comfortable with change. Of course a new skill can involve a new habit or you might have to make some changes in you regular life but don’t be afraid of that.

Break it down. After you put down why you want something and you are specific with what you want, you can start you plan on how you are going to achieve it. You break down the steps and can even put goals next to it.

Eliminate barriers to success. Everything that even has a small chance of getting in the way between you and your new skill, keep it out of eye sight for the first weeks. After a few weeks you can try to resist but this is something you can choose for yourself.

Just try. Nothing will happen if you keep on looking on how to do it. You will just have to try and see how it goes. You try and try and eventually learn from failure. Everyone that is now on top have experienced failure for maybe 100 or 1000 times but they kept on going and that’s why they kept going.

Try learning from successors. Learning from someone that is already on top or someone that has been doing your skill for years now can be very interesting. Learning about their experience and how they dealt with the harder parts of the skills is really valuable. Things might not go the same as this person but you will be able to learn a lot from someone like this.

Work points. Everyone will be having different work points or things that are harder for you to learn about your new skill. Putting some extra attention to these points will even it up and will other things in the skill much easier to go further in.
